Vertebral compression fractures represent a significant and growing clinical burden. While kyphoplasty is a well-established treatment, current balloon technologies present limitations in control, predictability, and procedural efficiency.

 Lentek Surgical is an early stage medical device company developing a next-generation kyphoplasty system, LATUS KB™, a contrast-free, single-axis, directionally expanding balloon designed to support balloon placement and expansion through a single incision.

 

The LATUS KB system is in development and is not yet cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Intended for kyphoplasty procedures once cleared.
